As a lifelong Saint Paul resident, father, small business owner, and dedicated public servant, he is committed to championing Saint Paul and building a safer, more affordable, and more accountable Minnesota — starting right here in District 64A.

Every family in Saint Paul deserves to feel safe — at home, at work, and in their community. Matt believes in smart, balanced public safety that supports law enforcement, strengthens community partnerships, and invests in proven prevention strategies.
Matt will support:
Fully funded, well-trained public safety professionals who have the resources, training, and staffing needed to do their jobs effectively.
Community-centered safety strategies, including mental health response teams, youth outreach, and violence prevention programs.
Support for victims and survivors, ensuring access to services, protection, and justice.
Data-driven approaches that reduce crime, build trust, and keep every neighborhood — from Highland Park to Mac-Groveland — safe.
Matt spent years in leadership roles inside Ramsey County tackling the issues that affect our neighborhoods. He’ll bring that real-world experience to the Capitol to support first responders and community-based safety programs so every corner of 64A — from Summit-University to Mac-Groveland — is a place where families, students, and residents feel secure.

Matt will fight every single day to bring visible, measurable wins back to our Capitol City. As someone who grew up here, met his wife Katie here, and is now raising kids here, Matt understands that families should not have to choose between paying the bills and planning for the future.
Saint Paul families are being squeezed by rising costs — housing, groceries, childcare, utilities, and property taxes. As a small business owner, Matt knows how inflation and taxes impact working families and local employers.
Matt will champion policies that:
Lower property taxes and ensure state government lives within its means.
Expand affordable housing options while preserving the character and stability of existing neighborhoods.
Support small businesses with fewer unnecessary regulations, access to capital, and workforce development opportunities.
Reduce childcare costs and invest in early education so parents can work and children can thrive.
Address everyday affordability, from energy costs to grocery prices, by advocating for fair, transparent pricing and consumer protections.

Minnesotans are watching the dysfunction in Washington, D.C. — the gridlock, the political games, and the inability to get even the basics done. Matt believes that Minnesota cannot afford to follow that path. It also hurts to see hard-earned tax dollars stolen through fraud, waste, and mismanagement. As a small business owner and a Personal Care Attendant for a close friend, Matt feels the impact of every lost dollar. We deserve a state government that’s as careful with our money as we are with ours.
Minnesotans expect transparency, honesty, and responsible leadership. Matt will demand real audits, real oversight, and real consequences. As a public servant, Matt has built a career on integrity and results. He believes government must be accountable to the people — not special interests. We need state leaders who solve problems, not create them.
